December 2018. This release of the Edgelab Excel Add-in contains the followings features :

New EdgeLab functions, First, a new functions is added to retrieve the price known by Edgelab (elAssetPrice). Secondly two functions are added to improve the conversion of weights into quantities (elPortWeightToQuantity) as well handling proxies instruments conversion (elProxyQuantityConvert)

Changes in EdgeLab functions, elAssetName can now receive a second optional parameters to truncate the name to the first N caracters. If the name is shortened suspension dots (…) are added after the name. By default, the full name is returned.

New supported parameters, all functions now supports the use of customer specific ID (csid). These instrument needs to be inserted using a string prefix “csid/” in the asset ID string.

Change in Edgelab Ribbon, the ribbon now display three new buttons, to refresh all formulas on (1) the currenty active Worksheet, (2) the currently active workbook or (3) all the opened Excel files. The calculations can be stopped using the manual calculations option in Excel .

Increased stability, through more meaningfull handling of empty Asset IDs. If an array of cells contains empty IDs, these lines will be discarded if the quantities are also null. This allows for a simplified use case of the add-in, where positions can be deleted on the fly.
